KEEP THEM
IN YOUR HEARTS,
NOT YOUR HOME
In 2023, WWF Myanmar launched an initiative aimed at addressing the issue of wild animals being kept as captive pets. Despite being motivated by love and affection, this behavior poses a serious threat to both humans and wildlife, disrupting the delicate balance of ecosystems and endangering the well-being of communities.Vero Myanmar, in collaboration with ENS Creative & Production team, a campaign was developed to raise awareness about this pressing issue. Titled "Keep them in your hearts, not your home," the campaign sought to engage audiences in a relatable and empathetic manner, urging them to reconsider the consequences of keeping exotic animals as pets.
Through a series of impactful visuals, storytelling, and educational content, the campaign highlighted the inherent dangers and ethical concerns associated with wildlife captivity. By encouraging people to empathize with the plight of these animals and understand the importance of their natural habitats, the campaign aimed to inspire positive behavior change and promote responsible stewardship of wildlife.
Through strategic dissemination across various media channels and community outreach initiatives, the campaign successfully sparked conversations and encouraged individuals to pledge their commitment to keeping wild animals where they belong - in their natural habitats, thriving freely and contributing to the health of ecosystems. "Keep them in your hearts, not your home" became a rallying cry for conservation and compassion, uniting communities in Myanmar and beyond in the shared mission of protecting our planet's precious wildlife for generations to come.
